I don't "hate" the bible, Tim. I even like the King James version because of its beautiful use of the English language. I will say, though, that I'm not a fan of how some in this country "use" the bible to "hate" people in groups they don't like. -- Religion: together we can find the cure. |

He got me to go to Sunday Episcopal services on campus because, he claimed, they served the best Sunday student breakfast and had the best-looking coeds at their services. He was right on both counts. Of course there would be an alternate motive for going. He and I argued some on issues religious. We're still close friends. I have an M.A. in English, and my concentration was in etymology. As for your interpretations, you're just proving my point, that biblical interpretation is in the mind of the beholder. There's nothing wrong or intellectually dishonest about that, as long as one admits it. I'm glad you told me. THANKS! But, you don't believe in the book anyhow. so why make a big deal out of it? I mean, why are you trying to interpret something something you don't believe in anyhow? That's my question for atheists. Why fight so hard against something that you firmly believe is non-existent? Why not fight against flying pigs? John H. -- Hope you're having a great day! It's hate.. and they need someone to blame for their failures... Speaking of failures, here we have PsychoScotty, the ultimate failure. -- Religion: together we can find the cure. |

Why not fight against flying pigs? It isn't about the flying pigs, it is about those who worship flying pigs. Most people believe there are no flying pigs, so they don't create thousands of flying pig denominations so that they can force and or coerce their particular flying pig beliefs on others. Odd how one makes perfect sense to you, while the other seems totally ridiculous. . John Spoofer There are laws which prohibit the use of force to cram religion down your throat. What difference should it make to you or any other stupid liberal what folks wish to worship? Some folks worship rocks. Where are all the anti-rock people? Sounds like you've got your spoofer head buried with the lil' Squirts head. Must be getting tight in there. John H. -- Hope you're having a great day! |

Muslims are the ones doing the 'forcing' these days, and you seem to think they're God's gift to mankind. John H. -- Hope you're having a great day! |

You do that several hundred times a week, quite stupidly I might add. Some Muslims (your darling children), on the other hand, tend to cut off heads and shoot folks who don't wish to follow the 'rules'. John H. -- Hope you're having a great day! |
