Oh, I see them and I think they are disgusting. But it's also
interesting to me to see how people interpret events in life and how
they justify their own decisions.

Harry obviously never served in the military. He never "served" period
(Peace Corps or other) to my knowledge. He said he spent some time in
'Nam identifying dead bodies but my impression is that it wasn't
something he did as a service to his country or even his fellow man. I
have the impression he did it because the pay was good. I think he has
said he was originally sent as a journalist but the job was cancelled or
something by the time he arrived.

I treat your buddy FlaJim and John the Racist and a couple of other
right wing assholes here with the same respect they treat other posters.
Your buddies like to **** on Don and a few others, so I feel it only
fair to **** on them. You've told me you think your boy FlaJim's posts
are funny. I don't see many of them, but the ones I do so remind me of
the little boys in the 7th grade who thought they were funny smartasses
but, in fact, they were only asses. From what I have seen, that's about
all your boy FlaJim does here...**** on other posters. Why you think
that is funny is beyond my understanding.

They are funny to me because I know Jim. Guess it's one of those "you
had to be there" type things. Keep in mind that the persona people
project in a goofy newsgroup isn't necessarily who the person is or what
they are like in person.

He's here for the entertainment value, just like you. It just so
happens that most of the time *you* are his entertainment.

Me? I don't take any of it very seriously. I enjoy a halfway decent
debate and you offer them from time to time, so that's cool. I also
appreciate humor that isn't totally mean spirited and both you and Jim
are capable of that.

There are a few very strange personalities here that are interesting to
observe. I get a kick out of that. I suppose some of the views I have
are found to be "strange" to others. That's fine too as long as nobody
is hurt.

As for your "service", I don't have any problem with what you did or
didn't do. I *do* find some of your accusations about John and what he
did in his military service to be offensive however. It's a personal
thing and I just don't think anyone deserves that. You have no direct
knowledge of what he experienced or participated in, nor of any of us
military vets for that matter.

To you John is a racist, and you somehow justify your accusations of his
military service that is totally unrelated to racism. I have no
tolerance for public racism, but what people want to think privately is
their business. I've seen no evidence that John practices overt and
public racism. I think he says some things that are "on the fence" and
can be interpreted as racist if you happen to be fine tuned for any
speck of evidence of such but I also think he does it on purpose, just
to get you worked up.

Words matter.

Harry offers up such a rich opportunity to have a little fun with a
liberal with a flawed personality. It's too bad that he can't deal with
a little light hearted joking around. He sure can dish it out though.

Don, your news reader is screwed up again. When opened, your post shows only:

Are you implying that your negative comments about Americans are a response to a comment about your

It matters not what I think the meaning of the phrase is, I didn't say

it. But, what I don't do is ASSume that it means something, and then

Are you really that much of an idiot?

"Cut and run is a pejorative phrase used in the context of a war or battle meaning cowardly retreat. Thus, stripped of emotional connotation, the phrase simply means withdraw or retire from the conflict at issue. The added pungency of the phrase comes from the partially obscured implication that this withdrawal is a course only undertaken by dishonorable fools whose fear and confusion has overcome their better judgment."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cut_and_run

Just for one cite.

We all know you love to argue, and don't mind looking like an embicile while doing so, but c'mon... really?

Can't read what you copied? "thus, stripped of EMOTIONAL CONNOTATION

simply means withdrawal or retreat"...... NOW who looks like an

imbecile?

It matters not what I think the meaning of the phrase is, I didn't say
it. But, what I don't do is ASSume that it means something, and then
produce a lie based on that ASSumption.

You are the one who ascribed any number of meanings to the phrase. Show
your intelligence and tell
us your meaning.

John H. -- Hope you're having a great day!

I have come to the conclusion that Kevin is lacking in both intelligence
and especially reasoning power.

He drinks a lot... can't really keep thoughts together from one post to

I'm going to guess. You have not one shred of evidence to back up your
delusional, psychotic statement, right?

Evidence? Hell, Harry, Don never seem to need evidence.

You supply all the evidence necessary to conclude you are an ignorant,
right-wing ass with ****-poor reading skills. No need to look for
secondary sources with you.

John H. -- Hope you're having a great day! Duh! Harry may live
south of you but I'm betting his Yankee roots keep him
grounded in a much more sociable culture. Actually
southerners are the most gentile, kind, helpful sociable people you
could ever meet, much more so than northerners as a whole. I know from
experience.

In your experience, are American southerners also cowards as Don is saying?

I don't recall Don saying that. Is that a lie, or could you show where
he did?

"Must be southern boys running those organizations. Y'all sure do

I suppose 'southern' doesn't mean 'southern', and 'panic and cut and
run' doesn't imply cowardice.

John H. -- Hope you're having a great day!

YOU said: "also cowards as Don is saying?" That is a lie, Don never said
that. The words "cut and run" can mean any number of things. Instead of
asking Don directly what he meant by that, you just started making
ASSumptions, that then turned into you lying.

I made a mistake responding to you.

You belong on the same pedestal as Don.

Perhaps you'd care to give us the meaning *you* give to the phrase,
'panic and then cut and run'.
That would be interesting, especially as it applies to those folks with
whom you had so much
experience.

I see you are short bus qualified also.
