Okay Johnny...let's fine tune my comments to some of the army officers who stayed well away from the nasty stuff, such as the Majors and above who were able to spend their Vietnam tour nights socializing at the officer's club.

However, from what experience are you basing your derogatory comments about Majors and above in Vietnam? Were you there? Although only a Captain, I knew a lot of Majors and above. None of them displayed the 'panic and cut and run' attitude you're so fond of. As to spending their nights socializing at the officer's club - if they were able to do so, why not?
