Default Wi Fi hot spots...

http://tinyurl.com/khzlalp

For those who need it, Verizon tosses in a free wifi hot spot capability
with its "share" agreements. Another name for it is tethering. With it,
you can "wi fi" connect a device that needs web or email access where wi
fi access is not available. The phone connects over the data network and
creates a wi fi log in capability for the other device. There's no
monthly charge for the hot spot app, but, of course, it does dip into
your data allotment.

Some other carriers offer this, and some of them charge for the hot spot
app.
