Because the Democrats want that jobs program also. Most of the military

HUGE difference. Developing and prototyping a Military Fighter is
nothing like writing a simple database... especially when you consider
most if not all of the code is out there already, just needs to be
compiled... A very dedicated high school student could probably write

Yeah, because I can tell you have the expertise to make such

I'm not stupid enough to post the URLs of websites I've designed or

Apparently your buddy FlaJim thinks his posts to usenet need virus

You posted pictures and text to a web page with standard web building

to run the ACA software either.

You don't know what I used to build the pages I programmed and manage.

You posted pictures and text to a web page with standard web building

in software that could do the job. The Government could have just leased
the software and support for a lot less money. There is probably only 3
different company's programs out there now for the insurance companies to
use for registering new customers. Why try to reinvent the wheel?

"I" could not have written it, but I know about 8 people I would bring
in on the project and they could get it done... I am not the programmer,
my wife is and her "team" from years ago did a lot of pretty cool stuff
back when on line merchandizing was coming into being.... And as to
registering and securing, we did just such a database for Prudential
Personnel Services, over a decade ago. Ultimate security as it was a HR
type service which rated White Collar Employees, thousands of users
would hit it at once and expect queried results, in minutes...... that
project was myself, my wife, and a crazy programmer named only "mr
moon"... :) So, maybe "Scotty" and co are capable of a bit more than you
might think....:) Besides, like I said before... All the code is out
there now, just have to compile it and make it work together.... A HS
senior with a couple nerds and some time could do it...

Does not matter. You used a commercially available page builder. You did
not write the code behind the page. I am saying that Scott is full of ****
that he could produce the massive program, of which the webpage is an
interface for $10,000. I built user interfaces for biomedical equipment.
Lots of the PC based data collection and display was done in Visual Basic,
but there was a hell of a lot of C+ programming behind the display code.
And the displays on the systems, took several people and a few hundred
thousand in wages and equipment to develop.

Bull. This is both a massive database and search tree setup. If you could
write a program like this with 10 people, you could put SAP and Oracle out

Not for free that are going to do a massive insurance registering. Is why
Larry Ellison can drop $200 million on a boat race. Why he is worth $50
billion. Because those large database programs are profitable. The ACA
website is not just an internet interface! And my experience is not that
far in the past. I still get head hunter calls.
