Normally, according to the rep and the service guy, the folks that have issues are the ones that use them 15-20 hours a year. He’s going back to the rep to press the issue.

Yeah, I always wonder when they just change a bunch of parts and give

you a reason for failure that just doesn't add up... Hopefully you can

get some support from the Factory, but at the same time, 400 hours, $400

maintenance is not all that bad, at least by bike standards

Where did you learn your math...detention school??
He said he now has 406 hours on his outboard and it needs it's 2nd $700.00 pump.
Even though the first one was covered.. that still means the motor needed $1400.00 in repairs over the 400 hours.
If that ratio continuous, or even gets worse as the years add on, it sure is going to add up over it's lifetime.
