New Jersey Republicans tonight nominated Steve Lonegan, a tea party
asshole and racist, to run for one of the state's U.S. Senate seats.

Not so long ago, Lonegan's campaign put out a tweet that was quickly
retracted, but not before it showed the asshole's true colors...again.

The message posted on Twitter targeted Democrat Cory Booker and was
sent during Thursday’s Democratic U.S. Senate debate in Newark. The
message, which featured a map of Newark with areas identified instead as
South American, Middle Eastern and African countries, was on the popular
website only for a matter of minutes, but it was long enough to elicit
an outcry from the other candidates.

Lonegan also refused to meet with the NAACP and tried to ban the use of
Spanish on literature and signage, among other things.

This in New Jersey, a very culturally diverse state.
