Unfortunately in some communities being sentenced to doing "time" as a
teenager is a badge of honor for offensives that involve violence.

Still, I think they should get 3 or 4 months in a juvenile
corrections facility with a program that makes their stay as miserable
as possible. There's no purpose in "rehabilitating them" unless they
have a previous record and long history of violence and drug dealings.
They need to understand that they are accountable for their actions.
