We'd initially planned to stop at Charleston on the way back and catch the fireworks. But, that must be a popular 4 July destination, 'cause all the campgrounds were full. We started looking about the middle of June. Too late. John (Gun Nut) H. It's popular all the time. Great food, lots of history, just a very cool city. It's only 1.5 hours for us, we go down several times a year. The Market Pavilion Hotel is very nice, and if you just have to eat something other than seafood Grill 225 in the lobby is a killer steak place. |
