Disney World is still there. The food at the German place in Epcot is great, but the price has gone
up to $39.50 each.

Universal Studios sucks.

I-95 in South Carolina sucks. Bounced the DVD player right out of the cabinet.

Georgia did a nice job on I-95.

North Carolina golf can be very muggy in July.

Shooting at ProShots with brother, his and my wives, was fun.

I'm getting much better at backing the 5th wheel.

Truck got 11.8 mpg pulling the trailer (about 10,500 lbs)

Just can't wait to download all the nice stuff on rec.boats.

Cant wait to see the full detailed report, complete with photos. ;-)
Where did you camp, and what did you think of it?

Is SC 95 really that bad? Is there a good alternate route to bypass 95?
I don't see one on the map.

-----------------------------------------

We did the Rt. 17 Coastal route one time in an RV heading back from
Florida. Picked it up south of SC and followed it north. I forget
where we re-connected to I-95 but it was probably in Virginia.

Not a time saver by any stretch of the imagination. Lights and stops
all along the way. But, it was a refreshing change from I-95 with a
lot of local "stuff" to view.

It's something to consider. We have time to make a stop at either
Charleston or Myrtle Beach.

It was .... shall we say .... Interesting? Not a route I'd take
everyday but it was different. Glad we did it once.
I am still planning a trip down to the Isle of Palms area in South
Carolina to see my son and his family. Mrs.E. flies down, but I don't
do airplanes anymore unless absolutely necessary and even then with
much hesitation. Haven't made the drive south on I-95 for a few
years now and am not sure I am looking forward to it. I've heard
horror stories.

Try to hit the stretch between DC and Richmond between 2 and 4 AM. It's gotten to be a real bitch.
Took us almost three hours to get here from Richmond. It used to be a 90 minute trip.

We'd initially planned to stop at Charleston on the way back and catch the fireworks. But, that must
be a popular 4 July destination, 'cause all the campgrounds were full. We started looking about the
middle of June. Too late.

It's popular all the time. Great food, lots of history, just a very cool city. It's only 1.5 hours for us, we go down several times a year. The Market Pavilion Hotel is very nice, and if you just have to eat something other than seafood Grill 225 in the lobby is a killer steak place.
