I'm sure the Palin kids will do all they can with the intellectual gifts and appreciation of education they have inherited. They cannot be faulted for their parents. That gets back to your eastern elitism. You assume everyone wants to be a hedge fund manager or college professor. There are plenty of people who just want to get a job and make an honest living. My wife pays her hairdresser about $80 an hour to get her hair done (in Fumbuck Florida). That is cash in the woman's home. It is not a bad living. Why do you feel obligated to say that is a bad thing? I do think you may still have a little crush on Sarah Palin. You certainly seem to follow every tiny detail of what is going on in that family. Actually, I don't know why anyone would want to be a hedge fund manager, but I certainly admire those who do a good job in the teaching professions. As I stated, I do not fault the Palin kids for their lack of academic or intellectual achievement. I pay $16 monthly for a haircut, and give the haircutter a $10 tip in cash. I think my wife pays about what yours does every three weeks. It's not a bad thing. My interest in Sarah Palin is in her ability to rev up the GOP base with demagoguery. |

Thanks, ESAFODAD, compliments are always appreciated. I appreciate your support of the Vietnam war also. Salmonbait -- 'Name-calling' - the liberals' last stand. |

It's an honest living if you play by the rules and the compensation is right up there with professional athletes and big time actors/entertainers. What's not to like? |

I suppose you could live in Omaha but only one guy has actually been able to pull it off. ==== With high speed internet and decent air service you can work from just about anywhere unless you want to have lunch on Hanover Square every day. * There's a whole enclave of hedge fund managers working out of southern Connecticut, mostly Greenwich and Stamford - not much of a hardship there. My son was employed by an architectural firm in Tennessee, and did extensive work on some U.S. municipality pumping station projects while living in the Philippines. did it all through the internet. |
