Default Herring's Worst Nightmare

I was thinking 'used'. I'm in discussion with a gun shop in OK which has several used ones on
consignment from a friend's sister, whose husband died and left a large gun collection.

For new, I sure like the looks of the S&W 1911's. The Ruger's not a bad looking gun either. I've not
done any research into any of the new ones.

If your looking for used, get the Colt. I'm not sure when they when
downhill though. It looks like 1983-1988 are the best years.

Well, I was thinking used. It depends on the prices. A new Kimber Custom II at a local shop is $883,
less a 10% military discount. The Custom II isn't the top of the Kimber line, but it's not bad.
Sweet trigger.

I've always liked Kimber but I've read that their quality has suffered.
It could be BS but you might want to research the model(s) you are
considering. A used Kimber might be cheaper and better.
