"Dragunov"

7.62x54R (Rimmed) The Ruskies got it right on that caliber. it's
still being used after about 110 years. Kinda hard to argue with
success.
That's for sure.

Don't know how it would affect my sleeping though! I'm thinking I need a Colt M1911 to round out my
'personal protection'. Got one you want to sell?

Check out the Ruger SR1911. I wanted a Colt just like I wanted a real
Colt AR15. I was steered away from the new Colt 1911's by dealers and
internet reviews.

I was thinking 'used'. I'm in discussion with a gun shop in OK which has several used ones on
consignment from a friend's sister, whose husband died and left a large gun collection.

For new, I sure like the looks of the S&W 1911's. The Ruger's not a bad looking gun either. I've not
done any research into any of the new ones.

If your looking for used, get the Colt. I'm not sure when they when
downhill though. It looks like 1983-1988 are the best years.
