If you buy the new line at West, they will splice it for a nominal
charge. Splicing is more art than science, and you'll probably mess up
enough line practicing to cover the charge. To install it, remove the
screw that holds the 2 1/2s of the toothed thingy together, and pull
them apart -- a small piece will drop out -- put it back with the open
end toward the entrty/exit area of the sheave.
