South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley will name Rep. Tim Scott(R-SC) to
replace the retiring U.S. Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC).

That will make Scott the first African American from the South to serve
in the U.S. Senate since Reconstruction -- and the only
African-American
senator to serve in the upcoming 113th Congress.

Scott's personal story is a remarkable one: While working at
Chick-Fil-A, he met a movie theater manager who took him under his wing
and taught him the values of conservatism and hard work. Long a poor
student, Scott turned his life around and ended up getting elected to
the South Carolina State House and then Congress."

Love it! :

Just another right-wing asshole.

Seems as if took a Republican too look beyond color.

Institutionalized racism is a DNC thing, regardless of what the MSM says...

It's racist to call a right-wing asshole an asshole? Please explain.
Scott is just another right-winger. His skin color is not relevant.

First thing I heard about him is that he wanted to have a statue
erected in honor of all aborted fetuses.

Sounds like your run of the mill idiot from the south.

I guess, if that's what gets you off!

What's not to like? You don't have anything against African Americans and diversity in government, do you? And a poor student learning the value of hard work and responsibility, and ultimately turning his life around is great, isn't it?

The fact it comes from SC makes it all that much better!

Sure, glad the guy is doing fine, but it's just politics. I doubt you
would have posted it if it weren't.

Sure glad that you don't make any political posts, Mr. Rush Fox.
