I don't know that much about sail boats, at all and my ignorance
about them is well known. But a question. When you say that yours has
a 5'6 draft, is that measured from the bottom of the hull, or is that
to the bottom of the keel?

From the water line to the bottom of lowest part of the boat. Keel,
rudder,
prop. Any of them.

That's what I was thinking but wasn't sure.

It doesn't count that additional depth needed when a couple folks here need
to take a pee over the
side!
