I have recently bought a 1980 model with the 5'6" draft and am upgrading most of the systems. Anyone interested in comparing notes?

I don't know that much about sail boats, at all and my ignorance
about them is well known. But a question. When you say that yours has
a 5'6 draft, is that measured from the bottom of the hull, or is that
to the bottom of the keel?

---------------------
From the water line to the bottom of lowest part of the boat. Keel, rudder,
prop. Any of them.

That's what I was thinking but wasn't sure.

It doesn't count that additional depth needed when a couple folks here need to take a pee over the
side!

Enough pee and the draft decreases. as well as the greater depth of water.
