Everybody pays taxes, dip****.

----------------------------------------------------------

Anyone happen to catch any of "The History Channel's" series on
"The
Men who Built America"?

Very interesting stories that shows that we've been through all this
before. Concerns of the rich getting richer and a shrinking middle
class prevailed in the minds of everyone, exactly like the comments
and concerns expressed today.

Characters like Andrew Carnegie, J.P. Morgan, Henry Ford, John D.
Rockerfeller, Cornelius Vanderbilt and others built empires and
personal wealth beyond anyone's wildest imagination. The were
competitive, ruthless and despised by most for being so successful,
wealthy and profitable, to the point where Congress broke up
Rockerfeller's "Standard Oil" only to spawn several new monster
companies that included Exon and Mobile that combined to become even
greater.

These men created America's "Industrial Revolution" and generated
millions upon millions of new jobs that established America's strong
and healthy middle class and the United States became the world's
leading manufacturing country with a standard of living for everyone
that was the envy of the world. The government did not create these
jobs. The entrepreneurial ideas and money of these then hated
people did.

Ironically, they also became the world's greatest philanthropists
in
their later years as well.

Interesting stories, especially for those who think big business is
all bad and the government should be in charge of creating jobs
and/or
being the great provider.

Yes, and that series was very interesting! THEY, not the government
ran
the country. They told the government what to do.
