I suppose that excludes atheists.

Not really, John. But they usually leave out the original proclamation
of "A Day of Thanksgiving and [Prayer]..." by President Geo.
Washington in 1789

Well, I wonder to whom they give thanks.

So in your very narrow mind, a person can only give thanks to a god of
some sort?

Where did you come up with that idea, Kevin?

I'm not Kevin, Asshole, but your statement was, "I suppose that excludes
atheists". Do you not even understand your own statement?

What a stupid thing to say. Because someone doesn't subscribe to
believing in God, they have nothing to be thankful for?

Your density isn't measured in mass.

To whom do you give thanks?

Stupid question. How about family and friends, to those who
sacrafice on behalf of others, for people who spend their lives
helping others.

There's million things to be thankful for that have nothing to do with
the cosmic muffin or the hairy thumderer.

We can all thank Mother Nature for not killing more people during
Sandy.

Very good. I especially like the last one - something almost spiritual about that!

I hope you transmitted your thanks to all those folks in some meaningful way.

Did you think "God" was listening when you transmitted yours?

I'm not an atheist, by the way. Just don't like it when ignorant
dweebs judge and disparage my fellow Americans for exercising their
personal beliefs. Even if they're fake Christians, they're entitled
to their freedom of religion.

People who cry about losing their "freedoms" while disparaging
atheists need a head examination.

For whatever you are or are not, you've spent a lot of time here disparaging the religious beliefs
of others.

I'm glad to see you've changed your attitude.

It's not what they believe but how they act. I can't stand fake
Christians, fake Jews, fake Muslims.

I've witnessed a lot of hatred coming from supposed "Christians" who
operate within the teachings of their churches. A lot of sick ****s
in this world, including a fair number of preachers. The worst
Mullahs in the mid-east have nothin' on some American Christians.

Reverend Al. Reverend Jessie. Reverend Jerramiah. I'm compelled to agree
with you.

I wasn't talking about 'they'. I was talking about you and how your attitude has changed.

It's a welcome change.

We did the usual turkey thing and took a short boat ride while the
bird was cooking.

Food was good and the ball game was more exciting than most, although
I bet Shultz wishes he had the replacement refs back.

----------------------

We were at a lake, but was cold and most of the boats were shrink wrapped.
A few fisherman. Cooked up a couple of smaller turkeys, as the market
specials were out of large birds. Did not watch the game, but played with
the 2 and 4 year old granddaughters. Lego's, etc.
