Thin, but logical... The kid probably figured the old lady would be easy
and wouldn't recognize him..

It is really time to just wait and see what comes out about this. We
are all just guessing but there is more going on than has been
reported so far.

Yeah, I get that feeling too...

Yeah, like maybe it was a prank to scare them.

local police and have him experience the reality of being in jail.

You assume the kid's only motive was to steal this woman's Ipod

I find it troubling that he is going into a neighbor's home wearing a
mask at 1 AM when he knows there is a woman in there alone.

... and it was his aunt...

I am sure there is more to this story than we know right now.

How are you so sure of that?

There is always more to the story when you are going from an internet
post .

I saw a couple of the reports, and watch local news... It just "seems"
to me like they are not telling the whole story. Very careful not to
mention what the "weapon" was for one thing.

Amazing!!! The kid was carrying something so you just to the wild,
unfounded conclusion that it was a "weapon". What an insane fool!

Are you saying that what the kid was carrying couldn't be considered a
weapon?

As bad as it is, I hope that turns out to be the case. Turns out the
house he was "breaking into" was his Aunt, his Fathers Sister. Would be
pretty bad if it turned out to be a prank, or other family drama.

I am not suggesting it was, and I haven't heard anything that would lead
me to believe that... I do wonder what kind of "weapon" the kid had, and
why he wouldn't know his dad would probably be armed with a firearm... I
know I would not have "moved toward" a known armed person, I would yell,
"dad, don't shoot".... Just sayin'.

Where do you get the notion that she was "old"? You sure are trying hard
to fit the FOX agenda.

What outcome are you hoping for?

It is an occupational hazard for "night time" burglars.

As well it should be, punishment fitting the crime. It is tragic for
the father however, although it's entirely possible that some of the
blame ultimately rests with him.

What a cold hearted old **** you are. Far as I know, he hadn't even
committed a crime yet.

15 year old kid gets punishment fitting the crime? You a
compassionate conservative? Hahahaha.

Trespassing for one, using a weapon in the commission of a crime.

Your hand can be considered a weapon, dumbass. Should I shoot you dead
if you are out at night?

Hit men have easy access to guns. Besides, you said "all of these
murdering teachers", did they "all" hire hitmen?

The cops said it was a "weapon"... Please, just let kevin read the
article himself.. It might take him a few times, but really, are you
gonna' answer each and every fake question from him today? JPS and Kevin
only want to make points in a newsgroup, they could care less for the

A prank is ringing the door bell and running away. Putting on a ski
mask and breaking into someone's house at 1 AM is beyond being a
prank.

What home did he break into?

No, when I was 15, I was not running around after midnight on a school
night in a ski mask and trying to break into houses, even the house of
someone I knew.

How do you know he was trying to break into "houses"?
