Anyone have any good pictures or boating stories? We had a little excitement here in the neighborhood yesterday. *One of the cables on a neighbors boat lift snapped, dropping the bow of his 34 ft Regal express cruiser into the water and doing some damage to the bow pulpit. * Haven't heard the post mortem yet on what caused the failure. *Both the boat and lift are about 5 or 6 years old so age is not likely the reason, more likely a corroded sheave but that's just speculation on my part. That's as bummer, Wayne. a 34'r on a lift? How long did it sit that way and I wonder how much water got into the cabin? Seeing that it tipped in Salt water, I imagine several items are compromised and may take some major work. |
