We had a little excitement here in the neighborhood yesterday. *One of
the cables on a neighbors boat lift snapped, dropping the bow of his
34 ft Regal express cruiser into the water and doing some damage to
the bow pulpit. * Haven't heard the post mortem yet on what caused the
failure. *Both the boat and lift are about 5 or 6 years old so age is
not likely the reason, more likely a corroded sheave but that's just
speculation on my part.
That's as bummer, Wayne. a 34'r on a lift? How long did it sit that
way and I wonder how much water got into the cabin? Seeing that it
tipped in Salt water, I imagine several items are compromised and may
take some major work.
