We had a little excitement here in the neighborhood yesterday. One of
the cables on a neighbors boat lift snapped, dropping the bow of his
34 ft Regal express cruiser into the water and doing some damage to
the bow pulpit. Haven't heard the post mortem yet on what caused the
failure. Both the boat and lift are about 5 or 6 years old so age is
not likely the reason, more likely a corroded sheave but that's just
speculation on my part.
