West Marine has a pretty good selection of dock boxes. Pricey, but
they go on sale every once in a while.

I am somewhat constrained on size and I have not had much luck finding
a dock box that will work for me. It turns out there are only a few
companies making these and they get relabeled by retailers.

Don't know if this would work. Wifee has two at the barn, the girls love
them.

Just under 60 bucks, lock, extremely good material (you can stand on it,
or I can anyway), wheels are not necessary in our use, but for you...
could do the trick.

Ooops, forgot, it has a pretty good collapsible handle opposite the
wheels. All together, a pretty solid tool, if it's the tool you need in
my opinion.

I am using tool boxes now. We were trying to go another way but the
32" width seems to be a problem in a dock box and we want a height
suitable as a seat with a cushion.
We have a trick box across the back too but next time around I am
thinking about a leaning post with storage under it and no box across
the back. Since all of the aluminum will be custom made I want the
boxes first.

Well, I guess I might have missed if you put up a depiction but I can't
picture what you are talking about in my head not being around a lot of
docks. (more of a beach or ramp launcher in my boating days). what is a
"trick" box?

Why it is a typo ;-)

Truck box

Ok, Aluminum is pretty expensive though, going to have it welded?
Somewhere I might have a pic of the aluminum diamond plate box I had
built behind and level with the back seat of my CJ7 right before our
trip to Indy in 89... It was welded, locked, very nice. Made a nice seat
when the top was stored too and you could hang onto the roll bar.
