It's bad to want to qualify for the unemployment insurance that *I* have paid into for 30 years? ------------------------------------------------------- I don't know where you live or what state you reside in but in in all states that I am aware of, including mine, your employer pays into a fund that provides unemployment benefits. You don't pay it. States have different structures to their programs, i.e. some have a "positive/negative" balance program that determines how much the employers pay. This benefits companies that have a lower turnover of employees or fewer unemployment claims while penalizing those who have more. Ahh, precisely. It's an employer paid tax, and it is a state and federal program. |
