I showed you something you didn't want to see,
so rather than refute the numbers, you attack me.
Oh, I get it, there is no refuting the numbers.
Attack the messenger.
I don't mind a good argument, I might learn something,
but all you do is name call. That's useless.

It's bad to want to qualify as head of household or for a Pell grant?

It's bad to want to qualify for the unemployment insurance that *I* have

I don't know, are you unemployed?
It might be better to want to qualify for a job.

I don't know where you live or what state you reside in but in
in all states that I am aware of, including mine, your
employer pays into a fund that provides unemployment
benefits. You don't pay it.

States have different structures to their programs, i.e. some
have a "positive/negative" balance program that determines
how much the employers pay. This benefits companies that
have a lower turnover of employees or fewer unemployment
claims while penalizing those who have more.

If you are an employee, unemployment insurance is paid for by your
employer through state and federal payroll taxes. Now the payroll taxes
your employer pays probably are figured into the compensation you
receive, but you are not likely be paying directly for your own
unemployment insurance. When I had employees, I paid the tax on their
behalf, and while I don't recall the exact number, it wasn't a large
amount per person.

Ahh, precisely. It's an employer paid tax, and it is a state and federal
program.
