My dad was a member of the American Legion, but otherwise I really
dont' know much about either organization.

They're both ok by me, though.

Around here it is mostly WWII and
Korea vets.

I think the Vietnam era guys are in the VFW.

Have friends that are in both. WW2 and Korea. I could join the AL, but the
VFW is for those who served overseas from what I understand. I never left
the states as I sat in an air conditioned electronics shop fixing transport
airplane radars.
