They are getting their degrees overseas and coming here, so they can make some money after years of school and then a couple years of internship/residency. What are these better results you talk about. If I have a problem I can go to a doctor today, be seen, diagnosed and prescribed a method to wellness. Will that be the case when the government is running health care. Be careful that you don't substitute longevity for quality of life. How would you quantify quality of life? I agree with you regarding excessive and expensive measures when quality of life is gone (assisted suicide, 'death panels'[family]?) but the question remains as to how you would quantify effectiveness of a health care system if not by longevity. |
