These guys know how to use the video medium to demo a product.
Since this is a boat group, the question is how long will it keep out
salt water.

Put it in your pocket, jump overboard swim around a few minutes and
see if you can still dial 911. That is the real test.

I've had good luck with small zip lock sandwich bags when I remember
to use them - cheap, effective and convenient.

That's what I use for both the cell phone and my roll of cash.
The smaller the boat, it seems the more likely you are to get at least
a little wet.

These guys are great for keeping all that small stuff in.

And, they're cheap!

Waterproof mesh, Herring? Is that like "transparent aluminum" from that
StarTrek movie about the whales?

There are several cases claiming to be waterproof for iPhones, including
this one:

http://www.waterproofiphonecase.net/...ne-tough-case/

But it's $179, about as much as getting a damaged iPhone replaced while
in contract from your cell service provider.

Over the decades, I've dropped my cell phones on the ground - concrete,
wood floors, whatever, more than a few times, without breaking one, and
I've managed to get water splashed on more than a few, but...I've never
dunked one "over its head," so to speak. "Drop protection" is all I
really want from a cell phone case.

Only 'cause you're such a ....

Yes, there is a mesh pocket on the outside. And yes, the zipper opens another larger pocket that
will protect from the elements.

Grow up, Harry. Quit trying so hard to be a dumber ****.

It's a cheap p.o.s., Herring, just like most of your ideas. Further,
it's too big for a phone case, and as one buyer stated:

"In lieu of spending time shipping back this cheap pouch, I am warning
other buyers to beware. The nylon zipper pulls fell off immediately when
we opened the pouch and then one of the seams fell open. We never even
got to the point of packing pencils in it for school."

BTW, Herring, your new handle reminds me of Joe Btfsplk, the character
from the Lil Abner strip who always had a black cloud hanging over his
head. He was the character who was the world's worst jinx, bringing
disastrous misfortune to everyone around him.

Bftsplk=Herring.

Well Harry, I really wasn't suggesting you buy the specific pencil case I showed you. It was an
example. I expected you to pick one up on your next WalMart trip.

Sorry you're feeling like your cartoon character. Change your disposition and you won't have this
Black Cloud hanging over you and Huntington.

PS. Don't look up. You may get 'rained' upon.

Now, I don't wish to grace you with any more responses for a while. You're simply not worth the
time.

This is only weather resistant. Probably due to the headphone jack
feedthrough. But I've got a Pelican case (for an old PDA) with no openings
for any cables. It qualifies as waterproof.

If you've got to run a phone inside the case, get a BlueTooth headset.
