over the years. I lived below my means, which gave me a cushion when a

STARTS at $1500, not including meds, O2, any interventions the EMT's

THEN you get to the ER where the real fun starts. thousands of dollars

in 20 years?


I worked for a few startups, so closing the doors and no COBRA
available was not that unusual. Sure I am on Medicare now. But that is
only for 2.5 years. I have been retired for 9 years, so for 6.5 years, I
paid my own insurance.

You can. You can use that cushion to pay for the $2-3k deductible insurance
policy. What I did when I was unemployed.
