over the years. I lived below my means, which gave me a cushion when a

STARTS at $1500, not including meds, O2, any interventions the EMT's
or paramedics do, etc.

THEN you get to the ER where the real fun starts. thousands of dollars

what kind of 'cushion' do people have when they havent had a pay raise

I worked for a few startups, so closing the doors and no COBRA
available was not that unusual. Sure I am on Medicare now. But that is
only for 2.5 years. I have been retired for 9 years, so for 6.5 years, I
paid my own insurance.

financial planners state. You are at least 50 years old, with a former high
