I take mine apart at least once a season to clean out any goop and relube them. I don't fish enough to gunk up a reel and these days it is all fresh water. I really can't imagine taking a reel apart is any harder than pulling a bearing carrier or rebuilding a tilt and trim unit tho. The reels have a plethora of teeny tiny pieces and parts. |
