It's about that simple to do so. You can hot swap any SATA drive in any win OS, XP or newer. I was playing with drives the other day and as soon as you plug them in, XP finds them and installs them. I am not sure the RAID BIOS on the controller card would actually rebuild the drive tho since that is usually only accessible on a boot. I think you can mirror in the OS. I just haven't done it. Yep, Harry the computer expert just doesn't know... |
