threatened to attack the US.

Before you start throwing 9-11 at me, remember virtually everyone
involved in 9-11 was Saudi and most of the planning was done in
Europe. The critical training was done in the US.

I was still willing to spend $200 billion for the pentagon.
That is more than all of our potential enemies spend combined
(China, Russia, North Korea, Iran and some left over for the odd ****
hole country I forgot)

I still would not underestimate 50 million armed Americans, probably a
quarter of which might even stick their neck out and fight. Even if
only 10% of them were effective, that is still well over a million
well armed people.

I think an insurrection is more likely, with massive disruptions through
demonstrations of the businesses and their bosses and the streets in
front of the homes of the bosses who have and continue to rob this
nation blind.

That is going to happen when the government tries to explain that SS
was a Ponzi and those trust fund bonds are only worth about 40 cents
on the dollar.

The government has the ability to raise taxes, sell instruments, and do
what it needs to do, but with Congress held hostage by the GOP on behalf
of its owners, nothing is happening.

Yeah, I am looking across the street at your invaders. They are
cutting my neighbor's lawn, trimming trees, edging, fluffing up the
mulch and blowing off the driveway. ... because he won't do it,, his
kid won't do it, nor will anyone else's kid I know. I don't feel
threatened in any way.
