I'll get clobbered for saying this by the few other moderate to liberals in here, but I think Mitt Romney, based upon his term as governor of Massachusetts, is a perfectly reasonable and rational Republican candidate. I don't agree with a number of his positions, especially the ones he is espousing these days, but I think many of them are aimed at the crackpot hardcore GOP base that wants doctrinaire candidates. I won't vote for Romney, but I don't think he is a crackpot or an embarrassment. I actually liked his father a lot more. As for the two other GOP probables, the moron from Texas and the pizza king guy, I don't see either as qualified to pick up trash. I also support your position on health care and benefits as paid by the corporations still offering them. The cost of providing these does work against our competitiveness in a world market fighting for the lowest possible labor costs, everything else be damned. Unfortunately, we've never developed an alternative in this country, other than offering no benefits. We're not paying the average worker in this country enough to be able to afford health insurance *and* food and shelter for his or her family. The same is true of retirement. How is the average wage worker supposed to accumulate enough to put together a decent retirement plan? And depend upon Wall Street and shares in corporate America to provide dependable growth? There's no question we need a national program of health care and retirement assurance for all. There's also no question that so long as the current crop of Republicans is in office, we'll have neither. I've stated several times here I like the Swiss system of providing health care coverage. --------------------------------------------------------- We agree on the problems and even some of the paths to solutions. Costs need to be controlled. A broken leg requires a cast. It doesn't require 4 MRI's, a specialist and then .... a cast. 401K plans are *not* retirement plans. They are legalized betting plans. Anyone who is heavily invested in a 401K or similar plan thinking it will provide for them in their golden years are nuts, IMO. My company offered one because it was desired by the employees but I personally never participated in it. Agree with your assessment of the goofball from Texas. He makes George Bush look like Einstein. Biggest disappointment with Obama is that "Change" is really "No Change". For almost three years he has been promoting Wall Street solutions to Main Street problems, just like all big government politicians. Only recently did his administration seem to catch on to what Main Street is crying .... "Jobs". Yet, he still seems to think that pouring more money into a broken system is the solution. Today's Washington Post talks to some of his promised 'Change'. http://tinyurl.com/4xyho2v |

I have more accomplishments in the last five years, than you have had your entire life.... Especially when you consider that each and every "accomplishment" you have ever bragged about here, has been proven to be a lie...snerk You sit in the basement all day, plonking around on the computer while your poor landlord works her ass off to support your habit... 1. Whether you have worked hard or not is not the issue. The issue was you were judging someone else's work, and probably someone who worked just as hard as you did. 2. When I have received compensation for unions, it was for performing at a high level the tasks assigned to me, and typically assigned by the union's chief officers or governing body. 2. You have no way of knowing whether your accomplishments in the last five years are "more" or "better" than what I have accomplished. Yet you are sure mine are not as good as yours... yep, you are a simple man harry krause. Frankly, I haven't seen you list anything I would consider an "accomplishment." You have talked about your motorbike racing hobby, or at least your kid's, for many years, but I haven't seen you post news of any victories in substantial competition. You said you gave up your boat building business and you said your ISP reselling/design service was having problems. So, just what "accomplishments" are you claiming?- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - He seems to be good at criminal harassment. Please show the law for criminal harassment and then show examples that Scotty has allegedly broke that law, Suckling Don. I haven't done anything that meets those criteria, ran it by a lawyer two weeks back... *But Donnie and through Conspiracy*, Harry did too...- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - Huh.... just what does "But Donnie and through Conspiracy" mean in the Queens English? Snotty had an article about "law" read to him once. Therefore, he's an expert. |

Just think of a world without big, bad corporations. There would be no need for unions ..... because there would be no jobs. No jobs .... no taxes .... no taxes .... no entitlements ... no Social Security ..... no Health Insurance .... no health care .... no anything. Big, bad corporations. Well, if you think about it. Unions are the one thing in that list we don't really need...- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - In your case that would be correct. If you have no interest in putting in a days work why would you need a union? Look, it's Suckling Don, Harry's personal butt plug. Besides, What do you care, do you have something to add to the conversation or are you just trolling again Mr. Dr. Karen Grear of Catholic University of America? Do you sit there all day long just waiting for someone you hate to post so you can make a one line comment or insult them? Wow, great life you have there... Does Dr. Karen Grear of Catholic University of America, know you have spent the last ten years here insulting and trolling the group as HtheK, HKrause, HarryK, Paul, x-man, sometimes posting as many as 100 one line, insult/troll posts in one 24 hour period? Mr. Dr. Karen Grear of Catholic University of America, you seem a lowlife parasite who spends his days and nights sharing your hate and misery here an all over then net. Anybody who has five minutes to look back at your posts over the last ten years will see that. I feel sorry for you, get out of the house man, step away from the keyboard...
