We discovered that the hard way back in the 70s when we were becalmed one afternoon in our old Soling with no auxillary power. Eventually the wind filled in enough to get us back but by then the marina had closed down for the night and our car was locked inside. Not wanting to spend the night either in the car or the Soling (small, open cockpit sailboat with no cabin), we set about getting back into Manhattan the hard way. |
