You guys should really research your fantasy a bit more.. The military
gets paid. Of course I suppose you already knew that but the DNC fax
said you should repeat the lie as often as possible, right?

no, it doesn't

I've read news items that claim both, that the troops would be paid and
that the troops would not be paid. I've not been looking, but I haven't
come across anything definitive.

It would be interesting if troop pay were treated like civilian pay in
case of a shutdown. I saw a news clip in which about a dozen Republicans
were expressing glee over the possibility of a shutdown.

Best way to quit an addiction is cold turkey.

Just say to Obama, do what you want but NO MORE DEBT and no more PONZI
FRAUD money creation. 100% pay as you go in the very literal sense.

Solves a huge number of issues.

Maybe congress will force Obama to keep his promise and bring the
troupes home.

Even easier, simply cut the DoD budget by $50 billion a year until it is
half what it is today.

What the **** are you talking about. The military still gets paid, and
it's the fleabaggers in congress that refused to do their work the last
4 years, not the republicans..

really? then i guess you better call the folks at 'military.com' and
tell 'em they ****ed up:

http://www.military.com/news/article...=coastguard.nl

U.S. military troops at war in Iraq and Afghanistan would receive
one-week's pay instead of two in their next paycheck if the government
shuts down this weekend due to the federal budget impasse, according
to a senior defense official.

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss personnel
issues, said the military can't be paid during a funding lapse until a
new appropriations bill or continuing resolution is passed by Congress

-----------

what the **** am i talking about?

the fact i know more than you do.
