Default cooling the boat

Generally, I do not mind getting older but one side effect for me is
that I cam no longer tolerate heat and tend to sweat so much that I
get dehydrated. So, I am actually considering ways to air condition
my sailboat. YES, I know, truly wimpy.
So, in the experience of those who sail in the tropics, do you have
enough breeze so you do not need AC? In North Fl where we have no
summer wind we really do need AC aboard or at least a strong fan.
My boat is a 28' long sailboat so I am having trouble figuring the
proper number of BTUs if I do use AC.
Here is an interesting site for really tiny AC units.
