Default A good company goes downhill

For years I have marvelled at how well Ace HArdware does although it
is often very close to Big Box hardware stores. This is due to them
having knowledgeable help and a good selection of hard to find items.
However, today, I bought a socket extension there of the Ace brand and
as I was leaving the store I noticed it was "MAde in China". Of
course, they had no others.
So, I wrote letter to Ace HQ complaining about this. Their reply was
some nonsense about how stores are individually owned and the owners
control what they sell. WRONG. They are required to sell the ACE
brand. Even then, ACE controls the ACE brand, not the stores. So not
only do they continue to sell Chinese crap, they lie to me about it.
They have lost me as a customer.

So if there was poorly made American say at $5 and and say a $1.50
version from China you would buy American?

Funny, I used to know Chrylser workers in Racine hat owned rice rockets
and Toyotas, although they would take a Chryler beater just for work
parking.

I kid you not, I used to live there.

A communist "economy" cannot produce consistent quality because the
system discourages long term planning. Any company thta does well
ends up being required to have ChiCom party members on its board.
Company owners quickly realize it is better to just make a quick buck
and get out than to make a long term commitment to quality.
A capitalist economy is at least capable of producing quality. Japan
obviously does as does Taiwan.
China can execute all the QC people they want but it will not help.
The problem is inherent in their system of govt.

There is nothing communist about China at all. Best described as
authoritarian-capitalist. Compared to the US, lean and mean. Chinese
could go head on with almost any company the US has.

Executing bad people like corporate fraud, drug dealers, multiple
reoffenders, pedofiles etc. is a Chinese efficiency. Why spend money to
keep people alive that care so little about others? Nice clean
philosphy. Admirable actually if done fair. And from what I see, so
far soo good when they executed the UK drug dealer even though UK
protested. Less back room politicial corruption exists.

GM's wagoner would be in jail and fiscally wiped out. Not rewarded
rewarded for corruption well done by his Harvard buddies.

In China, CEOs and bankers tried 1/2 the crap they try here, they would
be executed.

What I have learned is Chinese products represent value.

If I buy a Chinese car I don't support CAW/UAW that used the tax system
to screw my family and I. Hey, my taxes have no moral need to go to
union @ssholes that can't make it work because they are too greedy, too
lazy, too incompetant and have their shoulder stuct to their arse.

My next auto will be imported in protest to CAW/UAW abuse. End of
discussion. Union greedy buggers can eat unemployment for all I care.
Might take some of that entitlist attude out of them. They need to
learn to respect others people rights including ther customers too.

And I have principle problems with contributing to Wagoner's and other
executive GM pensions.

I buy Chinese or South Korean and not a damn thing you can do about it.
And I plan on buying one in 2012. So unless CAW/UAW ships parts to
the orient, I will get a car that is relatively CAW/UAW parts free.

Did you miss the part about how the Communist Chinese are not really
Communist?

By that logic, Jane Fonda is actually a John Bircher.

There are three eminent right-wing nutcases here...canuck, frogwatch and
