I'm about to complete a deal on a 1998 20' Cuddy near Centerville, MD
(21617) - can any suggest a good marina nearby for the survey? The current
owner has the one which was servicing it but I'd rather a second opinion.
It's a clean boat with a couple month of extended warranty left.

The survey is usually done by an independant surveryor, not affiliated with
any marina (preferably). Look in the phone book.
