I've searched long and hard for something you folks (liberals) might find
pleasing and have the right amount of patriotism and religiousness (is that a
word?). Anyway, here it is....

Turn the base up, the treble down, and the volume where you like it.

GAG! I'm glad I'm not so talented. I hope my name doesn't make me
guilty by association....

I've concluded the best thing to do with Herring's musical selections is
to not open the URLs...

"Tiny Tim" Harry.

The guy was gross then and he's still gross now.

Thus proving the validity of my premise that the best thing to do with
Herring's musical selections is to not open the URLs... :)

Nah, Actually he's really posted some pretty good, patriotic stuff.

Yeah, but.....

"His flamboyant stage persona belied a conservative, traditional
belief system about religion and marriage. He was born to a Polish
Jewish mother and a Lebanese Maronite Catholic father, and was raised
in his father's faith. After attending a Jack Wyrtzen rally, he
reportedly became a devout evangelical Christian,[11] but he died a
faithful practicing Catholic.[12] On several of his records and
interviews, he often proclaimed his devotion to Jesus."

I guess I should have been more clear. I didn't mean to imply that the singer of
the song was a liberal, but that the song was intended, by me, to placate the
liberals here who can't abide patriotic songs (about *this* country).

You are misinterpreting the reaction. It has more to do with the person
presenting the songs here and his motivations for doing so than the
songs themselves. Some of us consider racist right-wingers like
you...unpatriotic.
