This is on topic so I split it out

I trust a spark plug that has been running 1000 hours more than a new
one, until I see it run.

The only "testing" the manufacturers do these days is that it fits in
the box.
New defective parts are fairly rare and that just makes it harder when
you are trying to fix something. In trouble shooting it is a good idea
to back out new parts that didn't fix anything before you replace
something else.

Another lesson re-learned. I have the engine out and am about to take
off the head. One of the officials from the league we race is going to
have me over to split the cases in his shop. He says the only thing is
we may have to make a splitter/puller for the crankcase. It's just a
straight slotted bar with three tapped holes, just add bolts...

It sounds pretty straight forward, and I have been going through the
manual and the explosions, and I think I got it. I forgot to mention
it's a two stroke so it's not as bad as it could have been... Of course
I haven't seen the inside of the engine yet either:(

Soooooo glad it wasn't the four stroke!

The best of luck to you!

What was the rush? We had intel about where he was. Bush left it to
the war lords since there were no troops available.

You are arguing with yourself now.

"The rush" was to get him before he could move about 31 miles into
Pakistan.

How did that work out? Read up on what actually happened. Turns out,
the Special Forces were told to stand down. Why?

Tell me about it.

"It can't be bad... it's NEW!"

wanna bet?

If i could see inside the box and sort though and return all the
defective parts I get, I'd be beyond a millionaire!

Because we did not want to start a war with Pakistan?

Because Rumsfeld failed as the Sec. of Def. This was in Afg. not Pak.

I bet that sounded reasonable at the time.

The real problem was the original plan counted on help from the locals
and that worked fine until we got to a place where the locals liked
Bin Laden better than they liked us. 50,000 troops and 10 years has
not done much to control that area but you think Bush had a magic
bullet in his gun he could have deployed in a week or two.

If we had had the troops there, we wouldn't have needed the locals.

It doesn't make any sense. We know the DOD monitors every inch of the
gulf, they surely must know which mother ship a skiff came from. As to
the "world courts", if you vaporize the mother ship and skiffs, there
will be nothing left for court;)

If Obama wanted to, he could stop this overnight...

He could have closed Gitmo, too. Wasn't that his first promise?

Closing Gitmo is far too small. Lefties have made the US government
BROKE!!! Worse than GM even.

Try 65% reduction in military expenditures, 1/2 of everything else. And
they still might have to raise taxes.

US government now debt spends more dollars than Americans consume in
individual sheets of toilet paper!

And until DC gets grip on reality, look for ongoing hyper inflation.

Okay, so just when did Obama, "in his own words" say that he has "no
interest in anything that would bring stability to that area of the
world"? Just when did Obama say "in his own words" that "oil need to go
to 200 a barrel so he can finish collapsing the economy"? And what proof
do you have that he is "now paying thugs in Wisconsin, Ohio, and CT"?

Actions, actions speak louder than words.

I would not count on much from Obama, all mouth and no action.

Reply:
Close Gitmo, transparency of government. Neither are happening. Publish on
the web White House visitors list. He would not even reveal the coal
industry lobbyists under a FOI act suit.

He may not look like the other lying politicians that have been in that
chair but his actions are the same.

Total bs. Bush lied to the American people for 8+ years. Obama is at
least trying to do what's best for the country.

Not like Obama. Obama is now the worlds biggest debtor. Biggest liar.
Destroying America from the inside.

Obama should clearly step down.

It was 31 miles from Pakistan and we are not sure Bin L:aden was
actually in Tora Bora. He may have already slipped away.

Actually, we are. He was sighted by one of the US troops on the
ground.. I believe I saw an interview with the guy on 60 minutes (or
similar).

I bet that sounded reasonable at the time.

There was no way to get that many troops there in the time we had,
that was why we used locals.
It was working until we ran out of friendly locals.

Yes, there was. If we had started the deployment with more, we would
have had more. In time for what? There was a big delay anyway.
