Amen. yeah, after going back and hearing it, she is also an idiot... but I still think she came in with good intent... I just can't agree. She's among a big hand full of singers who think they should add their own 'melodies,' or whatever that ****'s called, to the National Anthem. I've never heard it work well. Going up the octave on the word 'free' isn't too bad, if the singer can do it well, but that gal just sucked all the way around. Hell, she belongs right up there with this gal: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ls1YVhcLD2c They both suck. |

We need to tell the big sports associations there's no need for MTV stars. Just good voices without the antics." |

The one we have is a difficult "sing" under the best of circumstances. The words are ok, no better than ok, but the music is just awful. "America the Beautiful" is a far, far better song. "This land is your land" no longer is applicable, since the corporations now own about everything mentioned. |

I'm simply not impressed by your superficial, odious, fake patriotism. Fake, because your racism is your defining characteristic. |

Perhaps they've never heard it sung properly. Here, the way it *can* be sung. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ETrr-XHBjE If it was good enough for Clinton, it's good enough for me! |
