To use a hackneyed phrase, I'm simply calling a spade a spade and in
this case, a spade who has been digging at my heels for years with his
flaccid insults. Bert is not a boater and as far back as I care to
remember has expressed no serious interest in boating.

Therefore, he is a troll, and no different than "Ziggy," "Crotch," the
ID spoofer and, for the most part, Shapechanging Krueger. Now, I do have
the first three buried deeply in my usenet filters. I'll consider
putting him in there but, really, these assholes shouldn't be tolerated
by anyone.

Nice insulting! That should help with the group harmony.

I don't respond *to* them. Like a couple of others here, I am hopeful
we'll get some new blood in rec.boats. As others have pointed out, as
long as they are active and pushing their agenda, upon seeing their
inane crap, most newbies will push off for a better clime.

You don't seem to understand that. When you have morons like Ziggy,
Crotchrot, the spoofers and LG running amok, the atmosphere stinks and
you will not get decent new posters.
