In fact, all of Harrys "headaches" have taken him off their list, and it was actually interesting there for a few with the BBQ talk. I think Harry, you should post a few pics of your new boat and see how it goes. Don't put yourself in there if you don't want. But a new frekin' boat is the perfect test to see if this place is really making the corner after ten frekin' years. And come on, who doesn't want to show off a new boat...? Well, you aren't going to be "clean" until you stop playing patty fingers with the ID spoofers. Your penpal "Harry" is one of them. I will engage legitimate posters who discuss boats or reasonable OT subjects, and I'll be glad to do so, but I won't be posting any photos or significant details here of the new boat.- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - Harry has stopped attacking so for now, he is just some guy named Harry, you are S.H.... Your comment reminds me of a bit from a long-forgotten Heinlein novel about a guy whose business card claimed he could restore virginity. "Harry" is and shall evermore be an ID spoofer and therefore should not be "engaged" by those who want a better newsgroup. I wouldn't engage him if he changed his handle to "flajim," but that's another matter. |

Thats cause you and your Wife are two lying ****s........ Jesus. Enough already. You know from my history that I have no great regard for certain posters here, but calling someone's wife nasty names is despicable. Put a sock on that, will you? Please? I am surprised that Paul hasn't said something to slammer. In fact, his correcting seems to be somewhat one-sided, not that those he corrects don't, for the most part, deserve it. Just an observation, mind you. Your comment was on target. Thanks. I must have missed "slammer," unless he is e#c, in which case I've already filtered him. In any event, my "efforts" here don't amount to much, as I see from my filter log and from those quoting those in there that a handful of the more obnoxious posters are still posting. I don't think any efforts will succeed unless all of those who want a better newsgroup do not respond in any way to the potty mouths, to those who spend most of their time here insulting others, and to those who "spoof" the IDs of other posters or their family members. More importantly, the wind has kicked up and it looks like the Sound will be snotty all weekend. That's not the weather I ordered. Weather Update...might be a window of opportunity to get out tomorrow...latest forecast indicates two footers in my immediate area. If it is really snotty out there, I can fish the banks of the mighty Branford Harbor, along with 200 other guys. |

I just talked with John today, and he and the Mrs. absolutely love the
truck. They took off with the trailer to go camping and the truck absolutely had it's way with it. It beats the 4-runner's 10 mpg in all towing categories. 14 mpg, with plenty of stability and gobs of power. Now he's thinking on a 5th wheel set up and a larger camper. I told him it could become addictive! |

I, for one, would be very interested in frequent updates, opinions, and squawks. I'm seriously considering a K2500 or K3500 dually for a replacement for the current truck.... -- It is usually futile to try to talk facts and analysis to people who are enjoying a sense of moral superiority in their ignorance. -Thomas Sowell Grady-White Gulfstream, out of Oak Island, NC.
