Default A long cruise...

....well, long for me...10 hours on the new boat today, including a run
up to Bal'mer, lunch at the Inner Harbor, a look-see at the Dundalk
area, where a friend keeps his boat, and then across the Bay to Kent
Narrow and south to St. Michaels where we went ashore and looked at some
of "shoppes" for a couple hours. Got back to Deale around 6 pm, before
dark. Nothing broke, no disasters, and I got into our slip properly on
the second try. Practice helps the imperfect.

Cool, some of our favorite places on the Chesapeake.

That would be a good post if you'd just left off your cutesy little
tag line.

If you are relying on Mrs K to help with the docking and undocking,
you might want to consider a set of these:

We find them very useful and Defender has about the best price that
I've found.

The season is almost over here, and I've made a deal with the
dockboys...$10 cash for a little assist with line handling upon my
return to the slip. That works now because they aren't that busy. A few
more times and I should be ok. The new boat has a much higher wind
profile and that doesn't help. The boat will be hauled the week before
Thanksgiving.
