Last deal fell through, truck had some long scratches in the paint, and the salesman tried to bull**** me about a noise coming from the vicinity of the CD player. He told me that since it was a diesel, the truck used electricity to keep the plugs hot even when the key was out of the ignition. I decided then I didn't like working with the guy. Besides, I can see no use for the four wheel drive and the Z71 package, both of which add to the cost, etc. So, I recently came across this one. The new salesman is checking it out now, cosmetically, inside and out. Too funny. http://tinyurl.com/329plaj May give him the word today. I like the fact it's $13,000 cheaper than the other one. Gives me some money to play with. Might get some bigger wheels. It comes with the 16", but I've been told that bigger is better. Have to do some research there. You truck owners might help me out here. The bigger the tire the more expensive the tire. Also, is the transmission and speedo set up for the bigger tires? I would hate to go through life having to calculate the speed or keep checking the conversion chart written on the windshield. My speedo is off by a few, but the GPS is usually on with the correct speed display... I'm thinking that will not be a big problem. -- John H All decisions are the result of binary thinking. |
