I don't really know where you are getting your info, but most of the pros we hang with think I am doing a hell of a job as a coach and wrench, parent, trainer/doctor, cook, maid, all around pit bitch... And I am proud to do it too. My daughter and I sit around afternoons with guys and girls who are on TV primetime weekends, I will take their word over yours any day,snerk... dumbass... Can you imagine raising your kids with their idols? I mean, can you imagine you and your kids after school on a weekday training with your kids idol? Yeah grab your gear son, we are gonna' go hang out with Yaz... Andretti, Ali, Jabar, Palmer, (insert your child s favorite athelete/hero here, you know, the one who's picture was on their wall) just listening, riding, learning, playing, sweating, eating, drinking, sharing, falling and getting back up again... Camping with them on weekends, talking with them off track, and training with them once in a while too? That's what my kid does every day. Really, think about that for a minute. I am a very lucky parent... He knows he's a huge failure so he attacks others to make himself feel better. That's exactly what Margaret said about you. If she wasn't so soft hearted your nasty ass would be scrapping the gutter about now. When did you talk to Margaret? |

No, it just means that I have a set of values that were developed in my youth by learning the value of hard work and where it could get you. I do not seek government handouts and I don't believe anyone should seek government handouts. And that qualifies you as conservative. Guess what? I agree with you and I'm a liberal. I also know that I'd have had one hell of a time getting through school without food stamps. I had the good fortune of being subsidized to the tune of$200/mo. for tuition, books, rent and food and worked part time. I got to eat while I was learning courtesy of the government. Now I give them a boatload every paycheck for their investment in my nourishment. The funny thing is that low-brain-output types like Bert don't believe they're benefiting from government handouts. You, like many of your conservative brethren, take a statement and twist it out of context in order to make the other side look bad. Where did I say, or even hint, that I "went with the prevailing wind"? Sort of sounds like I may not have researched the candidates I voted for, which I did, extensively. I have been a conservative since before I could vote. I learned the value of hard work and self sufficiency. In 1980 while I was a government employee, civil service, I voted for Reagan even though he campaigned to reduce the size of the federal workforce. Voting for the guy who may end up firing you, that is casting a ballot based upon principles. So you admit that you vote right even if you don't agree with the candidate? |
