The sad thing for Iraq is that it wouldn't matter if we stayed there
another decade. As soon as we leave, Iraq will blow up. I haven't seen
any evidence Iraq (or Afghanistan, for that matter) will survive as even
modestly democratic nations.

They are prime examples of what happens when you allow fundamentalist
religious types to control a country. And you can bet that a theocracy
