That's funny because I noticed this also... everyone wants a dollar for this or that... even at the checkstand in the local market. Well, perhaps it's because times are tough, but I sure don't like the pressure tactics. There are smaller retail stores that solicit for their "literacy fund." Between the feds and states, counties/parishes and cities, far more money is ****ed down the drain than is spent on the military. More money to learn to read???? Fraud and government are the new leading industries in the former U.S., except in the area of border patrol. |
